Court ruling: Diezani permanently forfeites 56 houses

The former minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, has permanently forfeited 56 houses. This is according to the Wednesday ruling of the Federal High Court, Lagos Division. Justice Abdulaziz Anka made the ruling.

Diezani who was accused by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of paying $22 million for the properties which are proceeds from the crime.

 

Among the properties are 29 terraced houses comprising eight four-bedroomed penthouse apartments, six three-bedroomed apartments, two three-bedroomed maisonettes, two twin bedroomed apartments and one four-bedroom apartment.
