Not less than 2 million candidates are considered to register for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) in the year 2018, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board said in Ilorin.

The former VC also noted that JAMB had made changes in the mode of registration and conduct of examinations to reduce applicants committing malpractices.

Oloyede however debunked reports of attempt to increase the JAMB registration fee, saying that the cost of production reduces as candidates increases which translates to decreased fee paid for the examination.
