Ooni of Ife palace has reacted to the break up of marriage between the monarch and the former Olori Wuraola.
Wuraola, who has reverted to her maiden name, Zaynab Otiti Obanor, had taken to Instagram and denied the infidelity allegation levelled against her. Though she did not hammered on what sent her packing from palace but made mention that she was a victim of a domestic violence.
Reacting to the former Olori’s statement on the cause of the 17-month marriage clash, the director of Media and Public Affairs Media Directorate in Ooni’s Palace, said marriage is strictly a “private matter that should not be subjected to undue public uproar”.
“In this era of social media, where people have free access to the internet and rely on that to pass across information as constitutionally permitted by laws of the land, people can say anything.
“Inspite of all being said o left right and center on the issue, decorum still requires that we in the House of Oduduwa continue to maintain silence, at least for now.
“Whenever it is necessary for us to talk, we will surely talk on the issue”, Olafare added.
