  • Finance Chief Highlights Gains From Subsidy Removal, Naira Float

Minister of Finance Wale Edun has attributed the economic challenges Nigerians face under President Bola Tinubu’s reforms to the failure of previous administrations to implement necessary economic changes.

Speaking at the launch of the “Federal Civil Service Policies and Guidelines on Rewards” in Abuja, Edun acknowledged the difficulties caused by fuel subsidy removal and Naira devaluation but insisted the reforms were overdue.

Despite inflation soaring to 33.88% and fuel prices exceeding ₦1,060 per litre, Edun emphasized that the reforms are yielding financial benefits for federal, state, and local governments.
