Residents of Ilorin turned out in large numbers on Sunday to celebrate Palm Sunday, marking the end of Lent.
The procession began in the morning at St Bananas Cathedral, where Christians from different denominations gathered for prayers and a symbolic walk.
Palm Sunday commemorates the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, a key event in the Christian calendar.
Participants carried palm fronds, sang hymns and moved through parts of the city in a peaceful display of faith.
Security personnel, including police officers, were present to maintain order and ensure the event passed without disruption.
Church leaders said the procession reflects unity among Christians and offers a moment for reflection as Easter approaches.
The annual event drew worshippers of all ages, with many describing it as a time to renew faith and celebrate together.
Photos taken by The Fellow Press correspondent from the procession show colourful scenes, with large crowds and organised church groups taking part in the celebration.
