Governor Seeks Confirmation of Two Aides for Cabinet Roles

Nominees Directed to Submit CVs Before February 27 Deadline
The Kwara State House of Assembly has scheduled Wednesday, March 5, 2025, for the screening of two commissioner-nominees, Dr. Lawal Olalekan Olohungbebe and Dr. Mariam Nnafatima Imam.
The decision followed a letter from Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, which was read during Wednesday’s plenary session by Speaker Engr. Yakubu Danladi Salihu. In the letter, the governor requested the Assembly’s confirmation of the nominees, stating that their selection aligns with constitutional provisions.
Dr. Mariam Imam, currently the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), hails from Tsaragi Ward III in Edu Local Government Area. Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Community Development, is from Ajikobi Ward in Ilorin West.
Following the announcement, the Speaker instructed the nominees to submit 35 copies of their curriculum vitae to the Clerk’s office by the close of work on Thursday, February 27, 2025, ahead of their screening next week.
