- Burial Held at Moro Street Residence Following Asr Prayer
Prince Abdulkadir Mahe, the Chief of Staff to Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, passed away early Saturday morning, December 28, 2024, at the age of 73.
He was buried later at his residence on Moro Street, Adewole Estate, Ilorin, following the Asr prayer.
Governor AbdulRazaq expressed profound grief over the loss, describing Prince Mahe as a “perfect gentleman, community leader, urbane public servant, and statesman.”
The Governor extended condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Mahe family, government establishments, and cabinet members. He prayed for Allah to accept Prince Mahe’s return, ease his accounts, admit him to Al-Jannah Firdaus, and uphold his family during this difficult time.
Prince Mahe, the eldest son of the 10th Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Aliyu Abdulkadir, was appointed Chief of Staff 17 months ago, succeeding Alhaji Adisa Logun, who also passed away in office during Governor AbdulRazaq’s first term.
His death marks a significant loss for the administration and the Ilorin community, with many mourning the departure of a dedicated public servant.
