The N-Power scheme revealed details about the device for beneficiaries in the course of their skill learning and acquisitions.
N-Power is a Social Investment Programme of the Nigerian Government that empowers unemployed youths.
The device which are all tablets consists of 8 variants from which beneficiaries can select.
Majority of the first batch who have received N30,000 monthly stipends were able to select N-Power device.
Those who selected device before March 27, 2017 are eligible for collection in this round, FELLOW PRESS gathered.
Basic feature of the device includes:
- It has free one year internet subscription
- It is pre-loaded with significant learning materials to support your assignment
- Cisco, Google, Microsoft, Learn Africa have all contributed content that you can access on the device
- There are over one million resources on it
Recall that the N-Power device for the first batch of the scheme are Afri-One (2-in 1), RLG Adulawo Limited.
Others are Samsung Tab E., Zinox Z Pad, Brain NPower IPAD,Techno Pad, Floss Signatures and Speedstar.
Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, visited the N-Power headquarters last week Friday and extended the closing date to July 27.
Mr. Osinbajo gave the extension to allow more participants to register.
Some beneficiaries who have not been receiving monthly stipends are now being paid for the first time this month July.
The scheme has also published a list of possible scenarios for non-payment of stipends to first batch beneficiaries.
Some state did not conduct physical validation for their people, namely on age, qualification and place of residence.
“Some state erroneously deployed everyone sent to them for physical verification.
“Without physical verification on the 3 fronts, payment will not be made to such people”, the scheme had said on its website.
