President Muhammadu Buhari received the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye in London on Friday.
This came after Mr. President has spent more than 100 days in he UK receiving treatment and has been visited by host of Nigerian political leaders, also visited by his media team last weekend.
President Buhari wrote on Twitter, thanking Adeboye for visiting him and praying for him.
“I thank Pastor Adeboye for visiting today, and for his prayers and good wishes. May God continue to bless him and his work.”
Buhari initially used 50 days in London for medical vacation, returned and this time for follow up and according to Femi Adesina, Presidential Media and Publicity Adviser, who said jokingly that Buhari’s “doctors are the ones in charge now”, and he is “learning to take orders from them, rather than issuing orders” as he used to.
Pastor Adeboye was seen, clothed in black native, seated with Mr. President who is in good radiance reading the clergy’s recently launched biography.
Barely 24 hours ago, Mr. President had received the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and his colleague at the lower chamber, Speaker Yakubu Dogara.
Reacting to the recent visit, Mr. Dogara had said, “Today we visited His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari. I am glad that he is doing well.”
He noted that Mr. Buhari’s health had improved tremendously, and urged Nigerians not to stop praying and offering thanks to God for answered prayers so that Buhari will come back safely.
