  1. President Muhammadu Buhari has said he would take a second look at his appointment. Buhari said the review would be done after a compendium of all appointments had been submitted to him, vowing to redress the issues being raised by Bishops.

  2. Olujonwo, one of the sons of former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, has warned his mother, Ms. Taiwo Martins, not to use him to seek media attention. Jonwo, who got married last year, described the claim by his mother that he was missing as “ridiculous”.

  3. The Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) has said it lost eight of its members in recent herdsmen /farmers’ clashes in Adamawa State. Rodney Nathan, the state chairman of the union disclosed this while briefing journalists in Yola.

  4. The indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has dragged 16 Nigerian officials to a United States District Court for the District of Columbia, for their complicity in the alleged extra judicial killings of its members. The officials dragged to court wereTukur Yusuf Buratai; Lawal Musa Daura; Ibrahim Attahiru; M.I. Ibrahim; Kasim Umar Sidi; Issah Maigari Abdullahi; Solomon Arase; Ibrahim Kpotun Idris; Okezie Ikpeazu; Willie Obiano and others.

  5. Six family members have been reported dead in a car accident in Bauchi. The accident involving a tipper occurred around 9pm at Buzaye village in Bauchi local government area when the family members were returning from a trip.

  6. Troops of the Guards Brigade deployed to Mararaba, Nasarawa state for internal security operations arrested a man with arms and ammunition on Thursday during a stop and search operation at a checkpoint. Director of Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Sani Usman confirmed the arrest in a statement on Friday and gave the suspect’s name as Peter Iorlaha.

  7. A Lagos High Court Sitting in Ikeja has issued a warrant of arrest on the Chairman of Innoson Motors Limited, Innocent Chukwuma.
    The warrant order follows his failure to appear in court to face trial.

  8. The Supreme Court ruled on Friday that a former spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh, must face trial for alleged fraud. The PDP former spokesperson is standing trial for allegedly diverting N400 million from the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. He had approached the court with reasons the case must be discontinued.

  9. President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the compulsory retirement of Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court and the dismissal from office of Justice O.O Tokode of the Benin Division of the Federal High Court. This is according to a statement by presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu.

  10. Ibrahim Babangida’s spokesperson, Kassim Afegbua on Friday said his life is now in danger. In a statement on Friday, he described his current travail in the hands of the DSS as “nauseating and utterly condemnable”
