1.There was confusion on Thursday morning in Kaduna State when some angry youths burnt down a Church and a police station in Narayi in Chikun Local Government Area of the State. This followed the death of a boy engaged in construction work for the white garment Church.
2.Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Socio-Cultural Organisation on Thursday insisted that Fulani herdsmen were not involved in the killings in Kogi State, alleging that Kogi people killed some herdsmen in retaliation of the killings they were not involved.
3.Report says a woman identified as Mrs. Veronica Igwe, has allegedly offered her 4-year-old daughter, Uloma Igwe, to her creditor as collateral for a N100 debt in Ebonyi State.
4.The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has halted temporarily, the withdrawal of policemen attached to Very Important Persons, VIPs in the country, saying the withdrawal will now commence as from April 20.
5.Bill Gates, world second richest man, on Thursday declared that Nigeria was one of the most dangerous places to give birth. He said Nigeria has the fourth worst maternal mortality rate in the world behind Sierra Leone, Central African Republic and Chad.
6.The Senate on Thursday, confirmed the nomination of Aisha Ahmad and Edward Adamu for appointment as Deputy Governors of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). It also confirmed the nominations of Adeola Adenikinju, Aliyu Sanusi and Robert Asogwa, as members of the Monetary Policy.
7.Report says 2 persons were killed while many others were injured as suspected herdsmen attacked Branch Umenger in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State. Report claims the armed herdsmen inflicted injuries on children and some village elders when they attacked on Thursday morning.
8.The Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu is currently enmeshed in another salary saga over the non-payment of 28 months salary arrears allegedly owed his Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Victor Oluwadamilare. Report says Oluwadamilare has been disengaged by Shittu after the former (Oluwadamilare) demanded for his 28 months arrears from Shittu.
