The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has addressed a viral AI-generated image portraying him in Islamic attire, sparking widespread online discussion.

Speaking during the first Holy Ghost Night of 2025, held in the early hours of Saturday, January 4, Adeboye acknowledged the image, which showed him dressed as an alhaji in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. With a lighthearted approach, he remarked, “I’m sure many of you saw that picture showing me as an alhaji.”

The image, which surfaced in late December, depicted the prominent pastor in traditional Islamic garments, drawing mixed reactions across social media platforms. Adeboye’s response, shared with his congregation, underscored his calm demeanor in the face of such digital creations.

On Mockers and God’s Mercy
Addressing critics and mockers, Adeboye warned that many might not survive the year, but he quickly reminded his audience of God’s merciful nature. “God does not desire the death of sinners,” he affirmed, emphasizing that divine patience seeks repentance rather than judgment.

Global Prophecies and Call for Prayer
Shifting focus to global issues, Adeboye highlighted the urgency of praying for peace amid escalating international conflicts. He warned of the possibility of another world war if tensions persist.

The RCCG leader also prophesied an unprecedented earthquake of massive proportions in 2025, urging his followers to stay vigilant and prayerful.

Message of Hope
In his sermon, titled “The Glory Ahead,” Adeboye reassured his congregation that brighter days lie ahead, despite the challenges of the present. He emphasized that God’s purpose for humanity remains central and that believers have a divine mission to fulfill on earth before their eventual transition to heaven.

Pastor Adeboye’s message combined a mix of caution, hope, and a call for collective spiritual responsibility in navigating the uncertainties of the new year.
