PDP’s victory not threatened by Coalition — Secondus

The Peoples Democratic Party has expressed its confidence in returning to power in 2019, even in the face of the emergence of the Coalition for Nigeria Movement recently launched by the former President, Olusegun Obasanjo.

According to the National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, the party has begun the process of reclaiming power at the centre in 2019.

Secondus , who on arrival at the Delta State was flanked by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, his deputy, Mr Kingsley Otuaro, Speaker of Delta  State House of Assembly, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, Chief Ighoyota Amori and  other top government functionaries and party faithful, said they will mobilize their people and get them ready for the 2019 general election.

The chairman also vowed that the party would not impose candidate, saying “We have vowed not to repeat the old order and we have reassured our leadership and our people that we will devolve power down to the states so that they can take responsibilities and make sure that whatever names that had been submitted will  not be changed.”
