The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kwara State Chapter, Sunday, unveils businessman and banker, Alhaji Luqman Mustapha, as one of the aspirants to contest for the office of governor in the state.
Luqman who is also the owner of a Radio station in the state, Sobi-FM, blamed the defeat of the party in the 2015 governorship election to power tussle among the party bigwigs.
“We all caused it because there were many bosses in the Peoples Democratic Party. But there is hunger in the state, threats and mismanagement which this party is ready to savage the masses from,” the governorship aspirant said.
On his part, the state party chairman, Chief Iyiola Oyedepo, said “PDP getting stronger and would capture power from oppressors that have impoverished Kwarans for many years.
“Our party will emerge victorious and the handwriting is boldly written on the wall no wonder many aspirants are declaring interest to contest. They are all welcome,” Oyedepo said.
