Senator David Mark has reacted to the verdict of the Appellate Court on Saturday, nullifying his election to represent the Benue-South Senatorial District.
The All Progressives Congress Party, APC candidate, Mr. Donald Onjah, had submitted document of proof that the Independent National Electoral Commission had declared Senator Mark winner even while some Local Government Areas are still collating the votes.
In response, Senator David Mark said he “won the election convincingly”. In a letter delivered to Daily Post by his media assistant, the former Senate President Mark expressed confidence to win the election even if it was conducted 100 times
Mark further reassure his supporters so as to be strengthened ahead of the election to be rerun, saying he had no doubt that his constituents would come out in large numbers to vote him again.
“Whatever the situation may be, one thing I know is that my people are solidly behind me . They also appreciate the fact that I have done more than enough to lift up Idoma nation to a position of eminence in the contemporary political history of Nigeria.
He stressed that he won the election clear and clean and will still do it again convincingly.
