Senator Rabiu Musa Kwasnkwaso, a former governor of Kano State has kicked against call for the arrest of Arewa Youths who issued quite notice on Igbo residents in the North.

The ultimatum which lapses October 1, 2017 has been a leading controversies both nationally and internationally.

Recall that FELLOW PRESS reported that Governor el-Rufai of Kaduna issued arrest order on Arewa Youths the next day the Arewa Youths the next day they held their meeting in Kaduna.

Senator Kwankwaso described those calling for arrest of Northern Youths as unpatriotic and things capable of causing national unrest. He therefore urged all leaders in the North to resort to dialogue with the youths instead of arresting them.

Kwankwaso was a minister of defence and currently representing Kanu Central senatorial district. While speaking with newsmen, he clarified that Igbos are free to reside anywhere they want, as they bona fide citizen of Nigeria.

“The Northern people believes that it is better we are together as a country. Our ultimate concern must be the unity and development of Nigeria as a whole.

Kwankwaso however berated pronouncement of arrest of the youths which he said has caused more tention. He blamed call by other ethnic groups asking for sovereign nations.

“If the youths are wrong, they are wrong. Though many people are scared of correcting them. And I have to commend the efforts of Acting President Yemi Osinbajo with his leadership style to resolve the aggression in various parts of the country.

Kwankwaso further noted that Igbos desire to be well represented at the centre of decision making in the country could be sorted out amicably rather than resorting to quit the country.
