Independent Electoral Commission fixes Nov 4 for Kwara local govt election

The Independent Electoral Commission in Kwara State on Monday has announced Saturday November 4, 2017 to conduct election across local government areas of the state.

The statement was made by its state Chairman, Uthman Ajidagba, who also notified all political partities and all concerned stakeholders of the commencement of electoctioneering in Kwara state.

He spoke during a media briefing in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, to announce the state LG elections.

Ajidagba stated that the commission had concluded arrangements to hold credible elections, adding that the exercise would be hitch-free.

The state electoral umpire boss further revealed that boats have been acquired to facilitate movement along riverside area of the state.

Recall that recently local government elections were just completed in Lagos state with APC clearing most of the pooling units
