Tinubu Replaces PTAD Boss Chioma Ejikeme with Tolulope Odunaiya

Date:

President Bola Tinubu has relieved Dr. Chioma Ejikeme of her position as the Executive Secretary of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), just 13 months after her reappointment to a second term.

In a statement released on Monday by Olugbenga Ajayi, Head of Corporate Communications at PTAD, the President announced the appointment of Miss Tolulope Odunaiya as the new Executive Secretary.

According to the statement, Odunaiya officially assumed office on November 18, 2024, at PTAD Headquarters, succeeding Ejikeme, who served as Executive Secretary from August 2019 to November 2024.

Dr. Ejikeme had been reappointed to the role in October 2023 by President Tinubu for another four-year term. Her initial appointment came in 2019 under former President Muhammadu Buhari.

In September 2023, upon the expiration of her first term, Ejikeme handed over the management of PTAD to Sulayman Shelleng, the Director of the Civil Service Pension Department, before her subsequent reappointment.

The reasons for the leadership change were not disclosed in the statement, but the appointment of Odunaiya marks a new chapter for PTAD as it continues its mandate of overseeing pension administration for retired civil servants.
