The Rivers State Police Command has arrested a 43-year-old woman identified as Gift for allegedly biting off the tip of her partner’s penis during a domestic altercation in the Mile 3 area of Diobu, Port Harcourt.

The incident, which occurred on Thursday, sparked shock and confusion in the densely populated Bishop Okoye Street after reports of the violent episode circulated.

According to local sources, the conflict began when Gift’s partner, identified only as Sunday, allegedly requested sex. Gift reportedly declined, accusing him of using sex-enhancing drugs that caused prolonged encounters. The disagreement escalated into a physical confrontation.

A resident who spoke to our correspondent under anonymity claimed that Sunday allegedly became aggressive following her refusal, prompting Gift to retaliate in a shocking manner.

“In the heat of the struggle, she got hold of him and bit off the tip of his manhood,” the source said. “His screams attracted neighbors who nearly attacked the woman before the police intervened.”

Officers from the Nkpolu Police Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, quickly arrived at the scene, rescued Gift, and took her into custody. Meanwhile, the victim was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for emergency medical care.

When contacted, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident on Friday.

“Yes, I can confirm the incident. The woman, aged 43, has been arrested and an investigation is ongoing,” she stated.
